Mr. Hakim has taught at Brevard Music Center, Seton Hall University, and Skidmore College.

William is an outdoor sports enthusiast, a connoisseur of wines in the $15-30 range, enjoys cooking, daydreaming, foraging for wild herbs and fungi, playing chess, and Indian buffets, where they often don't have enough plates to satisfy his appetite. He lives in New Jersey with his wife Asami.
